Club House
The sailing club is part of a group of water-based activities which share the building and its facilities. As well as the sailing club the group includes Sidmouth Gig Club, Sidmouth Sea Angling Club, Sidmouth Lifeboat and Sidmouth Surf Life Saving Club as well as sea swimmers. The clubs combine together to form an Executive Committee under the heading of Sidmouth Watersports Hub. The Sailing Club and Gig Club are the two major partners who have the overall responsibility for the maintenance and running of the building.
Opening Times
Opening times for members and signed-in guests are as follows:
Day Opening times:
- Monday —Tuesday —Wednesday from approx. 7 p.m. during the evening sailing season
- Thursday —Friday from 7 p.m.Saturday from approx. 4 p.m. during sailing season on Sunday from 12 p.m.
The clubhouse and bar are open to the public during events such as Folk Week and Sidmouth Regatta.

Taster/Coaching Sessions 2025 – Booking Now Open
The 2025 programme is being finalised and people are already signing up. The first taster sessions will be held on May 17th at Sidmouth Seafest, with morning and afternoon slots available.
To reserve a place, contact Miles Hapgood by email at hannafordonline@hotmail.com. He’ll provide session details and can also update you on future dates if you’re unable to attend in May. Another session is planned for June.
