Saturday Series
Saturday Series racing at Sidmouth Sailing Club begins with a scheduled start time of 14:30.
Competitors are advised to arrive at least one hour beforehand to allow sufficient time for rigging, launching, and pre-race preparation.
This ensures all sailors are ready and afloat in good time for the start sequence. Depending on the Race Officer’s decision and prevailing conditions, one or two races will be held as part of the afternoon series.
Wednesday series
Wednesday Series racing at Sidmouth Sailing Club has a scheduled start time of 18:30.
Sailors are encouraged to arrive at least one hour before the start to allow adequate time for rigging, launching, and pre-race preparation. Being ready and afloat in good time ensures a smooth and efficient start sequence.
Subject to the Race Officer’s discretion and the prevailing conditions, one or two races may be held during the evening series.
In the evening, the Social Committee organises a well-prepared meal, generously provided by a team of volunteer members, creating a relaxed and sociable atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

Dinghy hire
The Club’s coaching dinghies will be available for hire on a sessional basis during the Club’s regular sailing sessions on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons to give you an opportunity to practice what you have learnt. Our coaches will agree with you when you are ready to sail independently and this will obviously depend on the wind strength and sea state on any given day.
Details of dates and other aspects of the programme , which will start with taster sessions all day on Sidmouth Seafest, May 17th will be available shortly.
